Stephen Scordias
Photographer & Artist - Owner of ScorART
Greater St. Louis Region based artist, and owner of ScorART, Stephen Scordias, is an award-winning professional who specializes in photography, painting, and illustration. Born in 1978, Stephen embodies the practice of creating with the perspective of multiple voices and multiple mediums. While there are common themes within his work, such as nature and his kids, Stephen’s inspirations come from all areas of life and experience, expressing an array of thought and ideas.
Stephen actively exhibited photography in St. Louis area galleries from his teens into his 20s, but by his mid-20s decided to primarily provide his creative works for individuals or create simply for pleasure. As of January 2024, Stephen officially left his 20-year career in Higher Education Administration, and his consulting ventures with K-12 public leadership, to focus strictly on his creative passions. While continuing to create, Stephen employs various skills from his educational background in psychology and communications, combined with his professional background in student counseling and development, DEIA, climate and culture change, and project/people management and leadership to focus on projects that enrich the community of art and empower budding and mid-career artists.
Specifically, Stephen encourages artists who, like himself, stray from the “norms” of medium, genre, and singular voice, embracing artists that create throughout the spectrum, and champion diverse expression.
